This is a special additional box honoring the Summit Players' Shakespeare in the State Parks program.

The Summit Players are a traveling, non-profit theatre company. They are the only one in the country which tours a Shakespeare production to multiple state parks each summer, presenting a show and education programs completely free to audiences. For more info about the Summit Players Theatre check out their website, https://www.summitplayerstheatre.com/

Executive Director
While camping with her family at Potawatomi State Park during the period in which she was a student at Marquette University, the founding Executive Director of the Summit Players was hiking past the amphitheater and had an idea for bringing theatre to the state parks and these rarely-used amphitheaters across the state. In 2015, she enlisted the help of several other Marquette students and started the Summit Players and has been the Executive Director ever since. At the end of the 2019 season, she will step away to pursue other opportunities and the company will miss her.

To find the "Executive Director" you will need to park in the Nature Center parking lot. From the lot, cross the road and walk west to intersection. Across the intersection, you will see the "Nature Trail" sign. Follow the gravel nature trail to a Y intersection. At the Y go right and pass a "Welcome" sign on your left. As you follow the trail, you will see the amphitheater that was the inspiration for the Summit Players on the right but stay on the nature trail. Along the path you will pass many educational signs: the "Niagara Escarpment" sign on your right, the "Ancient Seas" sign on your right, the "Lake Nippising Shoreline" sign also on your right. After that you will cross a dirt cross country ski/biking trail but you will continue to follow the gravel "No Biking" (and snowshoe) nature trail. You will pass the "Lake Algonquin Shoreline" sign on your left and come to a "Rocky Existence" sign on your left. From this sign, take a bearing of 287 degrees. You should see a broken off, 6' high stump just beyond several parallel, moss-covered logs lying on the ground. The "Executive Director" is ready to meet you deep inside the stump. Please re-hide the box well when you are done stamping in. You can return to the parking lot by going back the way you came or continuing along the rest of the nature trail.

You will need orange, blue, and black inking pens for this stamp.
