To find the Tulip Hill Letterbox make your way to Highway 20 between Nice and Lucerne. Somewhere along the way will be a likely spot. Park. Inside or outside will do, although I happened to park outside next to the eleven cautionary signs. Geez!
Walk up that road that quickly loses its paving. Keep your eyes on the left until you see the yellow “No Trespassing” sign on the fence. Keep walking about 90 steps. On your right should be a stump coming out of the side of the hill. When I planted this box there was poison oak in the vicinity but not a worry for retrieving the letterbox. Still on the road face the stump and the box should be about eye level or even a foot less than that wedged in a crevice in the stump.
Thanks for coming!!
