South Bay Series #4
Retired as of 11/15/10

In his teens, Greg Ginn had a small business called Solid State Tuners that modified WWII surplus radios. In 1978, he changed it into a record label in order to release the first album for his band Black Flag. SST Records went on to be one of the most influencial indie labels of the 1980s, with a roster that included such bands as Sonic Youth, Husker Du, The Minutemen, Dinosaur Jr, Bad Brains, Soundgarden and many others. Their business address was PO Box 1, Lawndale.

Checked today and this came up missing again. As with others in this series, enough newer boxes are in the area now that I don't feel a need to replant this one.
