The Basics: Placed By Sandi and Duchesne. Trail length: about a mile round trip. Difficulty: Easy. No pen or inkpad included.
Now for the fun stuff!
*********************************************************
Directions:
From I-5 take exit 61 (north of Grants Pass) and head west on Merlin-Galice Road. Approximately 11 miles later turn left on Big Pine/Briggs Valley road. Then go 3 miles up the mountain to the Taylor Creek Trail Head.
Clues:
Once at the trailhead, follow the trail down to the creek. Continue on up the creek, you will soon come to a meadow on your right. Keep walking a bit more until you come to a bridge. Cross over the creek and follow the trail to a sign that says "Taylor Creek". Not far from the sign on the left side of the trail is a big pile of boulders. Go to the top of the boulders, once there look for the stump with a small ewe tree growing up beside ot. Inside the stump is where you need to look! :o)
P.S. Burnt Turkey letterbox is nearby-make sure to bring directions for this one too!
