The Marina Pacifica Plumbing Problem
-2025-
A stamp, a log, a tale to tell, a pipe that’s clogged where boaters dwell.

Marina Pacifica, sun-kissed and sweet, a harbor haven off the street.
A perfect place you’ll want to go to grab a bite or watch a show.
From cozy condos trimmed with grace to boats that bob in docked embrace
This shopping mall beside the sea is surely where you’ll want to be.

But near the palms where shadows play, a secret waits beside the bay,
And rumors float across the sea, of hidden pipes of PVC.
Just be aware, the plumbing there has problems, this is true,
But there’s one pipe, whose need is ripe, for someone just like you.

At Acapulco, park your car; the pipe you seek is not too far.
This restaurant hides what few can see, two paths that lead down to the sea.
A ramp on either flank you’ll spy, where seabirds shriek and spirits fly.
Now one lies east, and one lies west; choose either one to start your quest.

Proceed along the seaside run until you find slip thirty-one.
And once it’s found, watch what you do, boat people may be watching you.
A planter box is near this scene, where secrets sleep in shades of green.
And foliage leans with gentle grace, to hide this pipe from prying face.

Now lift the tender leaves with care and find the pipe that’s hiding there.
Its five-inch cap may seem too snug, but it will yield with just a tug.
You will smile with sweet surprise, for now you’ll see before your eyes
What caused this covert pipe to clog, a rubber stamp and secret log.

No need to fear a stinky scene; this pipe is new and quite pristine.
No sewage here, no plumber’s dread, this ruse was planted here instead.
With stamp in hand and book in tow, inspect each page before you go.
Then put them back where they were found, inside the pipe beneath the ground.

This site is bold, but I had help; I didn’t do it by myself.
I had Chowder, a friend so dear, who often walked beside me here.
Might every step that you may take, help stir the magic he helped make.
So stamp the book and let it be, a whisper to his legacy.

The Marina Pacifica Shopping Center is situated at 6272 E. Pacific Coast Highway
in Long Beach, California, near the intersection of East 2nd Street.
There is plenty of free parking there, as well as free charging stations
in front of Club Studio.

For a more scenic experience, instead of parking at the Acapulco Restaurant,
park in the area across from Barnes & Noble and Starbucks, then walk
between Chipotle and Buffalo Wild Wings towards the water.
Descend the broad stairway to reach the courtyard at the bottom,
then turn right and stroll along the seaside walkway for about 150 steps.
(If you reach Nigel’s restaurant you’ve gone too far.)
After the approximate 150 steps, turn right and walk through
the lower-level parking garage until you reach the elevator on the far side.
Take the elevator up to level two, where you will exit between Ralphs
and Nordstrom Rack. You will see the Acapulco Restaurant on your left,
where your journey continues.

Difficulty: None, an easy five-minute walk.
Compass Needed? No

Wheelchair Accessible? Yes, but only when you park near the
Acapulco Restaurant then use one of the ramps at either end of the building.
