Confirmed missing. May replace in the future with new clues. 10-10-05

April 24, 1995, a boulder slammed into a house on the north side of Fountain City, Wisconsin. After breaking free from the cliffs above the Mississippi River, the boulder rolled several hundred feet and quickly destroyed a remodeling project (and the rest of the bedroom) of Maxine and Dwight Anderson. You can visit the home, rock and all, at 440 Hwy 35 in Fountain City.

Admission to the Rock in the House is $1.00. It is open 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Rock in the House is closed during the winter. The box is not winter friendly.

Enter the house and read the information about the incident. How much does the boulder weigh?____ You will also find an article commemorating another incident with a boulder. What is the anniversary year of this article?_____ Now go out the back door. Wow! That’s huge! Stand at the rock that’s in the house. Look up to the rock that didn’t make it all the way down to the house. Go to it. Add the weight of the rock with the year of the anniversary. This is the number of paces you need to take following the boulders path up the hill. You will pass a long pile of rocks on your left, before coming to a rock in front of a fallen tree. From here, the letterbox lies due north in the end of a fallen tree between a three trunked giant and its broken companion. Please hide the box well when leaving.
