Terrain Difficulty: Easy (flat, 1.5 mi RT)

The River Recharge Natural Area is the seventh natural area to the San Marcos Greenbelt and got its name due to the many karst features on the property. It is especially important as a site where rainwater can percolate down to the Edward’s Aquifer and ultimately reach the San Marcos River. So far there are about 2.5 miles of trails, including one called Karst Corner, where this box can be found. No logbook since my other three boxes in the park have one.

Directions:
Go to the River Recharge Natural Area at north end of Bishop Street where it meets Lisa Ln and park near gate.

Clues:
Walk around gate to kiosk on right and walk through it onto the Swallet Loop. A little after crossing a dry creek, come to jct with Doline Trail. Go straight on it past jct with Stone Spur Trail and jct with Service Lane to jct with Karst Corner Loop. Go right on it, staying straight at jct with Service Lane, to jct with Limestone Link. Continue straight on Karst trail for 105 steps, just past big pile of rocks on right, to two large trees with a small tree between them on the left 7 steps off trail.LB is between the big trees and next to the small tree under a rock & leaves.
