These clues were made by Frankfort 3rd grade Brownie Troop 75937:

1. Park behind the Frankfort Township Building. The address is 11000 W Lincoln Highway, Frankfort, Illinois,
2. Find the gazebo and sit at the benches nearby. Sit down and take a deep breath. Prepare for your hike!
3. Look north and you’ll see a paved trail. Start your hike there.
4. You will approach a bridge. Take a moment to look over and see if you find any fish or frogs.
5. Continue on the trail and you will see a yellow curve sign.
6. As you’re walking and about halfway up the hill on the curve, you will see an opening to a dirt trail on the left. Stop going on the paved trail and go this way.
7. Take a moment and stop and look up and around to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Continue on the dirt path.
8. You will get to a fork in the road, veer left, and stay on the dirt path.
9. You will go slightly uphill and there is a log in the middle of the road and a giant dead tree on your right. Stay the course.
10. At the top of the hill, there will be another fork in the road, veer to the right. Take a moment to look over the edge very carefully, and enjoy the view.
11. Continue walking along with the creek below you and to your left.
12. You will see a small fork in the road, go left and continue walking with the creek on your left.
13. When you come to the next fork in the road, stop and take a selfie and then veer left onto the rocky road.
14. Continue on the path and curve left towards the pond.
15. Admire the bricks under your feet. You are going the right way! Keep on going - you’re doing great!
16. You will have a big pond on your right. Stop on the 7 big rocks on the left and think of three things you are grateful for.
17. There will be an opening for the pond on your right. Take a moment to either skip a rock or throw a rock while making a wish.
18. Continue walking around the pond until you get to the east side of the pond. Stop at the large opening on your right. Take a minute to look for some fish.
19. Next, continue walking over the pipe and curve to the left when you get to the next fork.
20. When you get to a fork in the road, veer right. You are almost there! Stay the course! We’re proud of you!
21. You will approach a 4 way fork in the road. Continue straight onto the path approximately 35 to 45 steps.
22. Look to your left and you will see a giant white oak tree. On the backside of the oak tree is where you will find the letterbox buried underneath some logs. Please re-hide with the logs in the same spot after you stamp!
23. At this point, you have two options. You can either retrace your steps back, or the shorter route is to continue on the path. Please note that the path is a little less obvious from this point to the way back.
24. Get back on the path and continue walking and you will need to veer right. You will need to veer right again quickly. Continue following the path. You will be walking through the woods at this point and the path feels a bit unclear. Move away some leaves if you need to see the dirt path.
25. Continue walking through the beautiful leaf filled forest. You will end up walking over four PVC pipes. You’re going the right way!
26. Continue walking over the small wooden bridge.
27. Continue walking and you will eventually end up on the dirt path where we first started. Continue walking until you get to the paved trail.
28. Turn right on the paved trail and that will lead you back to your car.

Thank you for finding our letterbox. We hope you enjoyed this adventure
