This box is located at Bishop Lake. Beautiful lake at the end of the road, with great hiking trails to other lakes and Letterboxes.
Directions:
From Bishop, go west on Hwy 168 to the end of the road. Park either along road in small lots or at parking lot up the hill (want to be close to hike trail start before lake dam).
To the Letterbox:
Walk down road to the trail head sign. Take trail to junction sign for Treasure Lake or Bishop Pass, go left toward Bishop pass. Pass multiple lakes and finally reach Bishop Lake. Go right on faint trail that goes to water and continue on until reach huge flat rock (with view of the Pass). Find the big crevasse in middle rock and climb down in it at far end. Box is at bottom of far wall under 12 inch rock.
