Part of my Beer Series
Terrain Difficulty: Moderate (slight slope, 4.6 mi RT)
Deschutes Brewery was established in 1988 by Gary Fish as a home for the public to enjoy a home-brewed pint. This Public House is now joined by a Tasting Room & Beer Garden less than a mile away. So come quench your thirst after finding this box on the Shevlin Park Loop.
Directions:
For the Pub, go to 1044 NW Bond St. For the letterbox, go to Shevlin Park at 18920 NW Shevlin Park Rd. Go through first lot to farthest one and park near kiosk at trailhead.
Clues:
Follow the sign pointing to the Shevlin Loop Trail and go on it counter-clockwise, following signs to stay on trail to a 5-way jct before crossing Tumalo Creek. From middle of jct go right off trail 20 steps, passing a pine and boulder, to back side of second boulder in front of second pine tree. LB is at back of boulder under a rock and bark. Please be discreet since it can be very busy. Continue on loop across the creek and back to parking lot.
