Westbound & Down Brewing is a brewery with deep Colorado roots that aims to infuse the spirit of the West into everything they create and has been elevating adventure since 2015. So check it out after your own adventure finding this box on the Chicago Lakes Trail.
Directions:
For the brewery, go to 1617 Miner St. For the letterbox, from I70 go south on CO 103 for 13 miles to parking on right for Echo Lake.
Clues:
Walk to Echo Lake and go right on trail past sign to jct with Chicago Lakes Trail. Go right on it to jct with dirt road and go left and up it for 1 mile, going past reservoir, to trail sign. Continue climbing as trail gets steeper to Lower Lake. Continue past right side down to far end and then up to Upper Lake. Just as the lake comes into view, go left off trail 45 steps a large rock standing upright. LB is at back left base in a crevice under rocks.
