In 1981, the quiet streets and rugged backdrops of Hope were transformed into the backdrop for the film First Blood, the first Rambo movie. You can see where many of the scenes were filmed by taking the Walking Tour. You can also see where Rambo jumped off the cliff outside of town at Chapman Gorge as it was called in the movie, but is really Coquihalla Canyon Park, which has a hike on the Kettle Valley Railway grade that passes through the canyon through two of the five Othello Tunnels built in 1914, and where this box is located.
Directions:
Take Exit #183 off BC 5 onto Othello Rd, then left on Tunnels Rd to Coquihalla Canyon Park.
Clues:
Walk on the gravel trail toward the tunnels and stop at four concrete blocks on right with a view of the first tunnel just before a kiosk on left. Go behind the first block and look in crevice between it and the second block for the LB under rocks. Please be discreet, and continue through the tunnels after stamping in.
