Terrain Difficulty: Easy (moderate slope, 1.7 mi RT)
Kamloops is promoted as the Tournament Capital of Canada since it hosts more than 100 sporting tournaments each year (hockey, baseball, curling, etc) at sports facilities such as the Tournament Capital Centre, Kamloops Bike Ranch, and Tournament Capital Ranch. Though not a sport, you can still enjoy a nice hike in Kenna Cartwright Park while looking for this box.
Directions:
From Trans-Canada Hwy take exit #366 onto Copperhead Drive, then left on Hillside Dr. to Kenna Cartwright Park lot on right.
Clues:
Walk through gate at right side of lot onto asphalt trail, which soon becomes dirt, to a jct. Stay straight on the Tower Trail and continue on it past several jcts to a bench on right just before a viewing platform. When even with bench, go left to pine tree a few steps off trail. LB is at back base under rocks & needles.
