Jean Bonnet Tavern
In 1794 during the whiskey rebellion, battling farmers met here and raised a liberty pole to protect federal excise tax on whiskey that October. General Washington sent troops who camped here.

During the whiskey rebellion, locals in west Pennsylvania would erect liberty poles along roads and town centers as protest against the federal government that taxed on distilled spirits.

Clue
Pull into parking lot and face tavern. Spy the entrance behind you on the left. Walk to sign at entrance and search the shrubs on the opposite side from tavern. Prize is in bushes.
