We are a group of "Frousins" (Friends?Cousins) who gather every summer for something we call Grandpa Camp. This year we hid a letterbox near the place we get together each year. We are excited to see who has found our box when we get back together for our next Grandpa Camp.
Go to Margo Frankel Woods south of Ankeny and drive to the south end of the parking area. You will find a gate there to a hidden playground in the back of the park. If the gate is locked. You can still walk around the gate to get to our hiding place. Once past the gate, go to the playground area that has a jungle gym. Stand on the railroad ties on the east side of the play area and face the woods. Walk 17 paces to the edge of the trees and look for a small opening in the woods. If you look through the small opening, you should see an old wooden pallet. Our box is hidden in the clump of dead trees to the left of the wooden pallet. Leave a stamp for us please, and maybe a note about who you are.
