Parking: North of 305 Silver St, Monson, MA, GPS coordinates: 42.14141, -72.384710;
additional property information can be found here:
https://www.opacumlt.org/properties/stephen-and-june-skorupski-woodland-preserve/
Total Distance: 0.5 miles
Difficulty: Mostly easy but it is uphill to the letterbox location
Clues:
Park in the parking lot and start walking towards the trail. There’s a small stone painted
blue at the start of the trail head.
Keep walking up the trail until you see the trail fork. Stay right at the fork to stay on the
Blue Trail.
Continue hiking along the Blue Trail. If you see a large white rock in the stonewall along
the trail to your right, you’re on the right track!
Keep an eye out for a large boulder on the right side of the trail. The boulder has a large split in the middle.
Look behind the split boulder to 5. find the letterbox.
Carefully remove the letterbox, add the stamp from the letterbox to your logbook and rehide the box, so that it isn’t visible unless you know where to look.
Turn back to return to the parking area
