The Giant Cedars Boardwalk is in the Mount Revelstoke National Park about 27km East of Revelstoke on the Trans Canada #1 highway. You need a parks pass to stop anywhere in the park. in 2025, the park is free and you don't need a pass!
The trail here has been partially closed since big storms in 2021/2 but there is still a boardwalk where you can stop and experience some majestic giant trees that are 500 years old, along with nice picnic areas and some glorious flush toilets :)
This box will just take you a couple minutes off the Trans Canada Highway, a quick drive by stop.
Arrive at the Giant Cedars Boardwalk parking lot, and drive along the loop until you see the timber bathroom on the right. immediately after the bathroom on the loop there are 4 parking spots on the left side of the road. in front of the parking spots there are 3 bear cub sized boulders. the furthest right boulder has what you seek behind it, under a pile of stones.
we have another treasure planted 2km away at the skunk cabbage boardwalk :)
