Abraham Lincoln is the only US president to have a memorial in Europe, and it can be found in Old Calton Cemetery in downtown Edinburgh. It was built in 1893 and commemorates the six Scots who fought on behalf of the Union during the American Civil War. Their names are inscribed on the memorial, which depicts a slave being released from shackles at the feet of Lincoln. This letterbox placed nearby serves as a memorial to the great man himself.

Directions:
Go to Old Calton Cemetery on Waterloo Pl near Calton Hill.

Clues:
Enter cemetery and walk toward obelisk, then turn right and go to the statue of Abe. Go behind it to right base of small building and stone saying "To the memory of Thomas Henderson". LB is behind right side of this stone behind a rock.
