Enter the park from Elmwood Avenue and follow through the winding roads until you pass the Temple of Music on your left side. You will soon see a softball field, where you can park your vehicle.
Start walking around toward the left field fence where you will find a path which rises up a small hill. Bear left on the path and walk onward until you find yourself at the end of a peninsula….the Temple of Music in clear view on the left.
Turn around and retrace your steps you will soon come upon a fork in the road with a very defined gravel path that bears to the right ….you want to take this path. It slopes downwards, and much closer to the water. Continue on this path…you will go by a massive oak that blocks an upward hill…continue on…..soon you will see a rectangular stone on the left-hand side , stop here! At 150 degrees , take 16 paces, you will find a tall slender tree with two adjacent trunks…… look behind the tree in a small cubby….hidden by twigs and leaves. There you’ll find the letter box.!
Our first letter box….hope you enjoy!
