Welcome to Trailmark’s FEET ON THE EARTH letterbox. We are excited to share our letter box with you, fellow nature lovers. Enjoy the beauty of Trailmark’s Oak Grove as you follow the clues to find our letterbox. Please remember when you have found the box that you put it back exactly as you found it so others can enjoy it too. Good luck.
Clues:
1. Find the camp house. It is on the right side of the Amenity Center. Stand at the base of the stairs facing the door to the camp house.
2. Turn to your right and follow the sidewalk. Continue walking until you see a bumpy yellow mat on the right side of the sidewalk. Keep going until the sidewalk stops and you are facing tall shrubs.
3. Turn left and follow the sidewalk. You will pass 2 bike racks on the right. Continue to the intersection that has a trail sign on your right.
4. Turn left and pass the red free library box on your left. You should see a bench on the right of the library box. Continue following the sidewalk as you pass the playground. Look for 4 benches on your left as you pass by the playground.
5. Soon you will see 2 baby swings on your left. In front of you there will be a sidewalk intersection. Follow the sidewalk to the right.
6. As you walk, look for a VERY large oak tree. You should notice that the branches are covered in Spanish Moss. Walk under the branches.
7. Continue walking to the curve in the sidewalk. (Curves to the right).
8. You should now see a trail information sign on your left. Look for the words “You’re not the only one that enjoys the water”. You might find some wildlife in the pond.
9. From the trail sign, look down the sidewalk. You will see a lone tree on the right side of the sidewalk. Walk to the tree.
10. Walk to the side of the tree that is facing away from the water. At the base of the tree you will see a small nook. Carefully, remove the wood and moss that partially covers the nook. You have found the Trailmark Feet on the Earth Letterbox.
We hope you have enjoyed this adventure. After you properly replace the letterbox, wood and moss, walk around in the grove or use the playground.
