I meant to plant this box while I was in the Northwoods, but circumstances got in the way. I’ve decided to plant it in DSM at least temporarily, and perhaps move it to its previously intended location at a later date.
CLUE: From the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden head north on the Neil Smith pedestrian trail. Continue North until you reach a wooden trail/bridge. Continue on to the opposite end of the wooden trail. At the north end lies the River Rascal. Check for a pouch located below the walking surface of the trail, in between the boards of the 2nd post, on northeast side of the trail. You will need to step off the trail and down on the earth beside it in order to find that rascal. Use the benches you’ve just passed (at the trail river view) as a convenient sitting location while you stamp, or the grassy area just to the North.
This is a relatively high traffic trail, so be sure no one is watching as you rummage around. Please be sure to reseal all the bags in order to preserve the River Rascal stamp and logbook.
