Difficulty: Moderate - some steep places, especially after the 1st lake.
Distance: 8.5 Miles RT
Blue lakes hike is excellent. This box is located at the 3rd Lake, or upper Blue Lake. Well worth the effort!!!
Directions:
From Ridgeway, go west on Hwy 62 for 4.8 miles. Turn left on CR7, marked Dallas Creek. Stay on CR 7 for 9 miles until the end and park. Can be driven by any car, just take your time.
To the Letterbox:
Hike to the first lake and view. then go back to the trail sign before lake, and follow it across the creek and up the hillside. You will get great views as you get higher. Trail then leads past the 2nd lake on the left. Continue on to the 3rd lake. Cross the outlet stream on the left and count 50 more steps along the trail. Go left off trail up the hill to trianglish large rock. Box is on back side under rock pile.
