Part of my Beer Series
Terrain Difficulty: Easy (flat, 2 km RT)
Originally opened in 2017, Mt Arrowsmith Brewing is a family run collaboration of passionate beer enthusiasts who deemed the communities of Parksville and Qualicum Beach were in dire need of great locally made craft beer. Come try their efforts after finding this box at Englishman River Falls Park, a picturesque destination set amid a lush forest of Douglas fir, cedar, hemlock, and maple.
Directions:
For the brewery, go to 109-425 Standford Ave. For the letterbox, go south on Aberni Hwy (BC 4A) for 5 km, then left on Errington Rd for 9 km to parking for Englishman River Falls Provincial Park at end.
Clues:
Walk to covered picnic area and go left of it on gravel trail going clockwise. Cross a bridge with view of lower falls and continue on trail as it climbs and bends right with chain-link and wood fence on right. At end of wood fence, continue 20 steps to small stump on left side of trail across from a tall tree on right side. Go left off trail 30 steps to two trees next to each other. LB is at back between them under a rock & needles.
