G’day! Bluey and Bingo went on an adventure to explore the Heights Library on Lee Road because they know what big fans you are! To show how much they appreciate you, they hid three stamps called “letterboxes” for you and your adult to find. Follow the clues to each “box.” Even if it feels trifficult at first keep trying, sweeties. Once you find the stamps, make a print in your logbook and then put the stamp back for the next person to find and enjoy the scavenger hunt. Be a little sneaky when you are re-hiding, it is unacceptable to be spotted by anyone not on the hunt.
Adventure Awaits!

Letterbox #1: Me! Bluey

Walkabout the magical place for children in the library…. No adult books in here! When you enter from the main lobby keep the “screens” to your right and my DVD episodes to your left. Keep moving past all those great movies and don’t get distracted by the superhero comics!

Once you spy the couches the same color as me, circle around them and stand on your tiptoes to search for the short stacks where the picture books are kept—the ones your adults love to read to you, especially at bedtime. Head toward my books. They can be found under the first letter in my name…hmmm.. what letter is that? Same as the first letter in “beans” as in I don’t want to slip on mah beans!

Hey! Are you reading my book? That’s highly fair but we are on a hunt. So, get low and see if you can find the little box that holds the first stamp. Remember be a “good dog” and re-hide it properly, put it right back where you found it.
Well done! You can keep reading or seek the second letter box!

Letterbox #2: Bingo

Oh biscuits! I miss Mum and Dad, so does Bingo. I’ll bet you’ll find Bingo’s letterbox tucked near the non-fiction juvenile (fancy librarian word for kid) books about the place where we live. While you are there, see if you can find New Zealand; I always lose NZ! I’ll bet it is “down under,” just like the letterbox itself.

You found it straight away! Great, now listen..we gotta be quick about finding the last box because you don’t want to be late for mahjong, Rita!

Letterbox #3: Sister Mates

Oh..look is that Chattermax out that big window? Noooo….Chattermax doesn’t fly you’re right, plus Chattermax isn’t allowed near any library because he doesn’t know how to keep it down! This isn’t a dance party.

I’m just being a little cheeky. Put your back to the window and make way to the picture books that talk about my name…”BLUE-y.” When you find those short, open stacks get down on all fours like a Blue Heeler would irl, and look low for some “Little Green Peas” made by a “Baker.”

Cheese and Crackers! That hide was a bit twicky… You letterboxers are the most special letterboxers in the whole world!! By now, you must be really thirsty or need the dunny. Go refresh and relax, maybe you can treat yourself to some endofmommy beans or some pavlova for an adventure well done! Wunderbar!
Hooroo!
