This letterbox is on Arizona State Trust Land. You must purchase a recreation permit on the Arizona State Land Department's website (https://azland.my.salesforce-sites.com/recreationalpermit/) in order to access the site.
The starting point is N 32° 40.660 W 114° 23.826. From I8, take the Foothills Blvd. exit 13 and turn north. Then, turn east onto North Frontage Rd. and travel 1.1 miles. Turn North onto Ave 14E and travel 0.8 miles. Turn West onto Masterson Ave. and travel 0.3 miles. The starting point is on Masterson Ave just west of Virgil Dr.
From this point on, your vehicle should have off road capabilities, otherwise you should hike. Locate a dirt road heading NNW in a straight line. This is a section of the historic Fortuna Mine Road. Proceed on this road heading NNW for about 1780 feet or 1/3 of a mile. Here you will find a wash running east/west. Turn west and travel through the wash for about 230 feet. At this point look south and locate two relatively large trees about 50 feet away. The letterbox is in one of these trees.
