Ever felt like you could use a blessing to lift your day?
Ever felt you had a blessing to give to someone, but wanted to do so without credit or fanfare?
Well, our church has found a way to do so! In 2023, a small group of the church membership decided to open a Blessing Box to help members of our local community who could use some help in tough times. Anyone is welcome to take something they can use from the Box, or leave something for others to take. After a years work, the Blessing Box is open and spreading blessings to all who visit. That now extends to our letterboxing community too!!
Make your way to 619 West Greenville Road in Scituate, Rhode Island. The Blessing Box is located in the church's rear parking lot, right up against the churchyard. It's screened next to some large shrubs, so visitors have privacy. The letterbox is in a magnetized glucometer strip container, resting on a metal lip on the upper left side of the box interior, resting against a bolt wrapped in duct tape. Please place the "bottom" of the container (there's a magnet there) against the bolt when rehiding, and lay horizontally. Mrs. RFD made this wonderful treat for you all to enjoy.
