Difficulty: Easy
Distance to Letterbox: About 1 mile out and back or 1.8 around lake
Guess who Sam's friend was....Think Texas....they served together in war.....both were political figures from Tenn., and he officially recognized Texas (who Sam Houston was President of) as a Republic. The stamp will give you the answer. This box is in Radnor Lake SP. Nice park for hiking around the lake and looking at birds!!!
Directions:
Get to the Walter Criley Visitor Center on the west side of the park. Park.
To the Letterbox:
Go in to Visitor Center, then out the back. Take the Lake trail (going along north side of lake). Go left at first junction. Pass a viewing deck on right, then pass Bench #7 on right. Pass spillway on right side. Pass benches 9 and 10 on left. Pass as sitting area. Stay right at junction just after. Come to deck on right on water edge. Instead of going to deck, go left off trail to huge 3 prong tree. From back side, reach into middle of tree about 3 feet up to find box under leaves.
