Driving east on the Coquihalla between Hope and Merritt, you will find the Britton Creek rest area. Pull over to use the washroom, buy a snack from the food truck, or look at the adorable little marmots who are way too used to people. Park in the parking lot and walk all the way to the far end of the grass, past the bathrooms and the picnic tables. At the end of the grassy area there is a very tall ponderosa pine tree, with orange pinecones with wild roses around. You might have to battle through a few branches, but the canopy is big enough that you will have some space once you enter. You will find your prize barely hidden at the base of the tree.
