BLSO (Bend LaPine School Online) Letterbox Clues:
Start at the Shevlin Park Loop Trail (West side), the spot with the view and picnic table at the intersection with the Railroad Trail where the old Railroad Bridge used to be.
Facing the Hixon Crossing information sign, go left to the trail junction sign and turn left on Shevlin Loop Trail.
Go up the hill to the 3 rocks in the middle of the path. Up ahead on your left you’ll find 2 pines leaning to the left.
Continue past the old, bleached, decaying log on the right side of the trail. Walk about 43 paces where you’ll find a big stump on the right side of the trail.
Continue on the trail until you find a giant, tipped over root ball on the left. Across the trail on the right, you’ll see a barbed wire fence. Look where the roots used to be and find the hidden gem.
