A bird species is regarded as alien if it has been introduced, intentionally or accidentally, to a location where it did not previously occur naturally. The cattle egret is an example and might be found at J. Kenneth Smith Bird Sanctuary in the town known for aliens and where this box has been sighted.

Directions:
From US 380 go north on N Sycamore Ave for 0.2 mile to J. Kenneth Smith Bird Sanctuary on right.

Clues:
Walk on asphalt path past jct with Spring River Pkwy to blue bench on left just before the large bird blind. Continue 5 steps, then go left off trail 25 steps up to multi-trunk juniper tree with a large wood beam in front. LB is within trunks under a rock & needles.

Hike length: 0.1 miles
