This box is located at the Cumberland Gap, at the Pinnacle Overlook area. Great views and history. Box is actually in Virginia, but road up is from Kentucky.
Directions:
From visitor center near Middleboro, take road up to Pinnacle overlook parking lot, and park in middle of lot.
To the Letterbox:
Take trail near middle of parking lot and head up. Stop at sign on right on boardwalk for “Borders”. Just past sign on left, on outside of rail, is a large boulder. Between the 1st and 2nd metal stakes at the bottom of fencing, reach through to base of boulder. Box is covered in leaves and dirt.
