FYI - parking is limited at this trailhead
From the parking area for the Alberton road trail, go around the gate, and follow the road. You'll see a house on your right, be sure to go around to your left (the road splits) past it as this is a private residence. Once past the house, go around another gate and you'll see the thru trail. Take this for a nice walk along the river.
You'll go past a climbing wall (you may even see a few rock climbers!) that unfortunately has some graffiti.
Continue walking past the power lines, you'll go over a small bridge and see a rusty blue car down on your right. Further up the trail, on the other side of the river you will pass an upside down, rusty old truck.
You'll come to a small trail off of the thru trail on your right, but 50 kid sized steps more, you'll come to a large trail on your right that switches back almost like a u-turn and goes up hill. Take this.
Coming up the trail you'll see two large 2 in 1s on your right with vines hanging from them and a trail in-between. Go down the steep trail past two old rusty cars and back up another steep hill.
At the top you'll find an old stone church. Go to the top of the old stone churches front steps. Walk down to the inside of the church to the large tree covered in ivy. Go to the window closest to the tree and look out. Take 7 kids sized steps to your right. Look at the wall above your head for the darker colored rocks that don't look like they belong there. Behind these rocks you will find a sweet cool treat!
Hike length: 1 mile
