Start at the entrance to the Frick Environmental Center. Pass under the archway between through the gatehouses and walk to the fountain.
As you approach the fountain, imagine it is a clock face. There is a pathway leading away from the fountain at 10 o’clock. Follow it to the Clayton Loop Trail.
As you walk along the Clayton Loop Trail, you will see a small pathway to the left, leading to a little house built into the hill. From that pathway, mark 50 more paces along the Clayton Loop Trail.
Look on the right-hand side of the trail for a hollow stump about 3 feet high. Watch for hikers - it can be a busy trail. Inside the stump you will find what you seek.
