This quest starts off easy, but will become quite challenging, for some. Mud and a possible water hazzard are in your future, but it's all passable. You have been warned 😁.
Enjoy and have a great day!
1.Park anywhere in the LaSalette lot. Find walkway between the Welcome Center in the Chapel of Light.
2.Follow this walkway until you come to a dirt path and continue on the dirt path to the back corner of the building directly to your right, then turn slightly left and go up the grassy hill to the paved road.
3.Cross the road to the grass and turn slight left then walk toward and between the huge pine trees; continue straight to Mary on the Rock. Say a prayer if the spirit moves you.
4.Follow the tree line left to the cement blocks then turn right and follow this path to the wildlife sanctuary entrance. Take a right onto the Reflection Trail, main trail.
5. Stay on the main trail as you pass the landing at Brothers Pond. Take the second trail on the right after the pudding stones. You will quickly come upon a Y in the path, go to the left. The path will become quite narrow.
NOW YOUR QUEST GETS INTERESTING!
6. A short distance after you come to a big dip in the path you will see two three-fingered oak trees, side by side, on the left. (One has a broken finger) Right after the second oak you will see a large pudding stone; there you will find Box #1.
7. To find Box #2, keep following the path in the direction you were going.
YOUR QUEST IS ABOUT TO GET MORE CHALLENGING!
8. Step over the log crossing the path unless you're really flexible and want to limbo. LOL
9. Cross the gnarly log bridge and work your way around all the toe trips.
10.After competing that gauntlet, you will come to a fork in the path, keep going straight.
POSSIBLE BIG CHALLENGE COMING UP...
11. Depending on the season/weather, you are going to come to a very wet and muddy area. It's a bit tricky, but you can make it through there, work your way through on the right. If conditions are dry....easy-peasy passage.
12. After traveling uphill, you will meet with a new path. Go to the right. When you come to a Y in the path, go left.
CHECK OUT THAT HUGE UPROOTED TREE AS YOU WALK BY..AMAZING!
13. As you step over the cement slab you will see the path open up. Follow the trail up the hill to the right and look for a tree with a yellow marker on one side and a blue marker on the other side.
14. Stand with your back to that tree and walk straight towards the rock wall. Look for a small pointy rock; this is where you will find Box #2.
To leave this this area, go back to the path, turn right, go around the two trees in the middle and walk straight towards the meadow, go right again then right once more at the bottom of the hill and you will be back where you started on the trail.
Hope you enjoyed your journey.
