This box is part of an 8 box series in the parks of Emporia KS.
From Highland st., park in the campus parking lot across from Sauder Alumni Center and look for the pavilion located in Wilson Park (north of the parking lot).
Walk up to the pavilion. To the West of the pavilion is a set of bathrooms. Go to the entrance of the mens bathroom and look just north of directly west.
Walk ~65 paces in this direction towards a small set of stairs located between a picnic table and a stone chimney. Walk to the base of the stairs.
Once at the bottom of the stairs, walk another ten paces away from the stairs parallel to the direction of the stairs. (west-ish).
To the north there is a small opening in the bushes - walk through the opening.
At this point you should have a pretty good view of the ESU practice fields and their parking lot.
Turn back east and walk until you get to the opening of a small path. Walk down this path ~45 paces until you come to a large tree with a fork in it about 15 feet up, which hangs over the trail.
The base of the tree should be to your right, about 6 feet off the trail. Behind the tree at the base is a flat rock. The box is hidden underneath the rock.
