If you listen carefully to the wind on a calm summer evening, you will hear the song of the gods:
Start at the Emerald Necklace at the intersection of Brookline Ave and Fenway. Head southeast on the path (if facing the water/city, take a right). After the large cream colored road sign that reads "FENWAY MUDDY RIVER CONSERVATION" is a green bench. The first god sits under the lip of its right leg.
Continue southeast (take a right from the bench); Athena waits under the lip of the right leg of the next green bench you'll encounter, directly across from the sign for Emmanuel College.
Continue southeast again. Take a left at the fork, a cluster of seven trees (and likely some geese) at your right. Continue around the bend toward the northeast bridge but do NOT cross it-- turn right to cross the street at the crosswalk. Take a right at this fork to continue on the gravel path that runs parallel to the traffic. Have a seat at the first bench you find (it will be on your left). The box and logbook lie underneath a suspicious pile of rocks at the base of a large two-sister tree to your left.
Hike length: 0.5 miles
