From the light at Chicago Drive & Canal Ave in Grandville, take Canal. The trail starts before you cross over the bridge. You can also enter the trail at the Grandville Senior Neighbors (3380 Division Ave SW, Grandville, MI 49418) or Wedgewood Park (3391 Wilson Ave SW, Grandville, MI 49418) where there is parking, but riddle starts at the Canal Ave entrance.
At the fork in the trail you can start to play
Boy Scout Troop 292 will point the way
Follow the stream and its beautiful sound
You’ll pass 10 green posts coming up from the ground
Walk the crooked plank, past the Silver Maple tree
But don’t go past the warning if your dog goes (the opposite of) pee
With your back to the bright blue rails, and your face towards the creek
You’re so close to finding what you seek!
Walk across the trail until you pass the first little tree
In the woods to the right you’ll see a big trunk of three
A red dot marks the spot, now look to the ground
In the hole you will see what you have found!
*Please place the large rock back on top of the box in case the creek floods. Also cover well with leaves and sticks. Thank you :)
