Park at Towson High School parking lot off of Aigburth Road. If this is during school hours you can park on Aigburth Road if spots are available - pay attention to parking requirements.

To your south is the tennis courts.
Cut through the field by heading EAST towards the track/football field.

Before crossing the bridge to the track, turn right and head south behind the baseball diamond. Turn left behind backstop to cross the wooden plank bridge.

Here your Gruffalo adventure awaits!

A person took a stroll in the deep dark woods
What's a Gruffalo?

As you cross the stream do you see the rocks? That's where a Gruffalo eats roasted fox.

Listen above, hear an owl call for tea? The owl doesn't know that a Gruffalo loves to eat owl ice cream down by the stream!

As you continue down the path do you see the pile of wood? That's where the Gruffalo eats scrambled snake. Take heed!

Up ahead do you spy the knobbly knee tree? What about the purple prickles climbing the trees (climbing euonymous)?

Once you reach the green bridge, cross and you will find a bush full of black tongues! Beware and take heed, as those thorns will scratch!
Beneath this side of the bridge you will find the "PLAY!" stamp. But please, be terribly kind and replace the letterbox where you found it. This areas is prone to floods so lock in the rocks!

Hike length: 1 mile
