Named for our 16th president,
these woods and boulders, field and pond,
more than 600 acres have been
beloved by all since 1909.

Of entrances, there's more than one --
you must take the twin river way,
and as you enter Lincoln's woods,
turn right and seek site 43.

A massive glacial rock remains
that some will climb, and some refrain,
walk round it till you find the table
marked 43, and if you're able:

Point your compass 310 degrees
between the table and the stump
march straight forward, then on your knees
seek what none can see above.

Note: At the time of placement, there was no evidence of poison ivy in this spot. However, when exploring in the New England woods, one must always be aware that poison ivy can grow in new places -- know the leaves of three and let them be! Also, you can help us keep our parks clean by bringing a small trash bag with you and picking up litter if you find it. Thank you!

Hike length: 0.5 miles
