On our thirty third wedding anniversary we visited the church that we were married at in New Durham, New Hampshire. It is a historic landmark on the Ridge Road.
"First Free Will Baptist Church of America" Organized June 30, 1780 by Elder Benjamin Randall. Founding Church of Northern Free Will Baptists. Building Erected 1818.
We took photos of ourselves on the front step like we had on our wedding day. After we got the shot it came to both of us that we should plant a letterbox here. Out came the box radar and no boxes to be found near by, so we felt good about doing it. Next thing was we had not planned on planting a box, so we had to find the parts we needed. Let's see, logbook - check, Stamp - (re-purposed PT) check, container - (YES we found one in the back of the car) check!
Clue: Make your way to the First Free Will Church on the ridge. Park in the driveway and take a look around. On one of the highest points on the property you will see a rock wall on top of a rock ledge. If you walk up the ledge to a point where the rock wall takes about a 90 degree turn you will see three rocks form a triangle on the top of the corner. As you stand at the three rocks lean over the wall and find our box nestled in between the rocks on the tree side. No rocks need to be moved.
