Out for a Sunday drive on a sunny summer's day, SunDawg & Friends came upon a lovely little cemetery in need of a letterbox.
Harrison Cemetery is located on 10th St., South of U Ave., West of US-131. There is a historical marker at the corner of 10th & U that tells the tale of Bazel & Martha Harrison. In November 1828, they led a party of 21 pioneers who were the first permanent settlers on the Prairie Rhonde.
Drive South on 10th St., pass the NESBITT's turn in at the Southernmost entrance. The namesake stones are on your left, continue on beyond the tattered flags. Walk over to the statue family of BABY GIRL 1966. West now, toward FOLEY and a good place for stamping. A few rows further, find the stone of HOPE. Maurice holds the letterbox.
As always, re-seal/re-hide well and write back!
