Driving directions

The trail starts off of Plummer Hill road which is just south of the northern 35 and 37 intersection in Waterford. Drive up Plummer Hill road a very short distance and you will see a wider shoulder for parking on the right hand side. The trail starts on opposite side of the road. This is a very busy area in the summer months.

Clues

At the beginning of the Mount Tire'm trail is the Dan Brown Memorial Plaque on a small stone. From this point count about 100 steps to a gap in the wall that parallels the trail. Behind and between a sitting boulder and another stone is the camo pouch for Box 1. Continue going up, up and still up. Soon you see at left two sets of triple trees a bit off trail on the left. Ahead on the right is a white birch trail side. Take 10 steps to the oak off trail and right of the birch, Box 2.

Go to the top, resting along the way. Enjoy the view! Wow! Continue a bit further to a "stately" figure at left. Check the right side under roots for an Altoid tin and box 3.

Explore the area: What did you see? An old Man's face in the cracked erratic? A wooden carved bear? A cave in the pile of large stones? Have fun!

Hike length: 1-2 miles, steep up; great view
