Park in the far end of the paved lot. There are some interesting facts on signs to be found. The trail begins behind the bike rack and beyond the "doggy bags".
NOTE: 1 table, fauna info, 1 bench, flora info. 2nd bench, turn right at first opportunity. Pass the potty, to the Info...birds, CLAY BLUFFS(!) and a bench. A great view. At this time, the stairs are closed due to the high level of Lake Michigan. If you are here when they are open, it is probably worth the climb to check out the unusual CLAY bluff.
Once your excursion is complete, follow the white concrete trail back to the black asphalt trail and turn right. Pass bench #4, table, table, and bench #5. At the bird info sign, look for a 5-armed Maple that protects our credo. The mossy bench #6 is too far, but a good place for stamping.
