This stamp is a little way beyond the beaten path if only to make sure that it is obscured enough by trees so that it stays hidden and secure for years to come. Everybody knows kids like to explore so I wanted to make sure that it was a reasonable way off in the distance rather than immediately close the skate park and park facilities themselves. FYI keep in mind, the directions to the letterbox involve NO lefts or right turns...It is almost an entirely straight line directly to the box from behind the facilities!

Arrive and park at the Skate Park, then make your way down the sidewalk towards the playground and restrooms. Upon reaching the bathroom facilities, step off from the sidewalk and walk around, to behind the building. Behind you should be the building (obviously) and the parking lot, whilst in front of you should be the beginning of the woods and trees, and off to your left, the soccer fields. Facing front (the trees) walk 100-110 paces forward.

You will reach two very large 8x8 wooden beams about 12 ft. long, just laying there in the grass. Step over them and continue another 20 steps.

Having passed by a number of medium-sized trees by now, you should now be standing next to the 1st of two trees that are considerably larger than all the others you have so far seen around you. the 2nd large tree being only a few steps further beyond the 1st. Standing next to the to this 1st large tree keep walking an additional 55 steps straight ahead like you've been doing.

Now that you are clearly a good ways into the woods you should see in front of you a cluster of trees that begin to form almost a straight line just ahead to your right, with the open fields just beyond them to the right. To make it even easier, I propped up a rusted old piece of corrugated tin and tagged it with an arrow :) (who knows how long that will stay there though.)

From the first tree in this cluster, count back approx. 8 trees. At the base of the 8th tree should be the letterbox, buried well under a pile of rocks. Please make sure to do your best to replace the rocks as you find them! I was trying to make a hiding place that protected the box from the elements, but was also not SO stacked so high and obvious as to stick out and invite curious eyes! Good Luck!
