Clues
This series was planted for “An Evening at Hale”
Find the Holy Grove, the triangular piece of land surrounded by the driveways. Nathan’s youngest brother, David, who became a minister, planted the original maple tree in this area and gave sermons here. And here, in the hollowed out base of a tree behind a rock trap door, you will find Daffodil, representing the many daffodils that bloom here in the spring.
From here, walk to the stonewall lined path into the field / parking lot and walk toward the split rail fence ahead. Go to the 5th fence post and look at its base, under a rock, for Garden. This garden is right outside the kitchen door, convenient for Mrs. Hale to pick herbs & vegetables for cooking.
Continue along the fence until you see an opening. Go through the opening, and following the walkways; walking by the left side of the stone monument. Pass through another opening in the fence and, follow the path to the stone patio. Cross the stone patio, stopping at the end of the stone wall on your right. Turn right and follow this wall for 12 steps. Deep in the wall, behind 2 small trap door stones, you will find Silhouette. Silhouettes were the only way to “take a picture” of someone in this period before cameras. You do NOT have to move any stones except these 2 small adjoining trap door stones to find this box.
Return to the stone patio. Look for the 2nd lamppost on your right. Between this lamppost and the wall, under a rock, you will find (a) cocktail.
