This is the first of a series for Bird is a Word. The song has been stuck in our heads for days and then we found a set of 3 bird stamps during a road trip! One lies here in Athens, on in Kansas, and the last yet to be determined. This is also our first planted letterbox, so let us know how it goes!! Have fun, stay safe!
0. Stay sneaky!!
1. Take a trip out to the BOAT HOUSE at STROUDS RUN.
2. Drive to the end of ALL of the parking areas into the area marked, "NO OUTLET."
3. Park in the gravel by the sign on the left labeled, "LAKE VIEW TRAIL." The lake will be on your right once you get out of your car.
4. Walk to the sign labeled, "ROAD ENDS IN WATER."
5. With the lake and sign on your right, walk ~55 steps.
6. You will pass the trails on your left and will be near the end of the boat ramp.
7. To your left, a large tree reaches for the water.
8. At the base of this tree, under some rocks lies our first bird's nest!!
9. Enjoy the park!
