It’s not for money, it’s not for fame.
It’s not for any personal gain.
It’s just for love of fellowman.
It’s just to send a helping hand.
It’s just to give a tithe of self.
That’s something you can’t buy with wealth.
It’s not medals won with pride.
It’s for that feeling deep inside.
It’s that reward down in your heart.
It’s that feeling that you’ve been a part.
Of helping others far and near,
That makes you a Volunteer!

From Green Spring Sewing Club, travel down 30 toward the Harrisonville Post Office. Turn Right onto Pleasant Ridge Road. Travel approximately 1-1/2 miles to the Haines-Seville Wetland Restoration Area on the left. Park in the small parking area provided.
Walk towards the pavilion. Spot 3 bat houses set high on poles. They are slumbering now, but we would certainly see them swooping and soaring at night. Stand in the center of the bat houses. Look for the area where the cattails are in bloom. Walk over and find a safe place to cross over a small rivulet of water to a clearing on the other side.
From the center of the clearing look for another safe crossing toward a path. Once over the second crossing of the rivulet, stand facing the path. Take 6 steps through the long grass. Look to your left for a fallen tree. You will find what you seek at the base of the root end under a rock.
Continue up the path to reach the parking area.
