My adult son has introduced me to letterboxing. This is an easy straight path. No real life struggles. Like mom says, wear boots if it's muddy, a hat and gloves if it's cold. As i have taught as Mom, I have learned from my kids too. We have walked the path, learned a lot, overcame the difficulties.
Make your way to the Portland Riverfront Park on Brownstone Avenue in Portland, CT. Park in the lot down by the gate. You will see the pavilion and the covered stage. Walk straight down the path about a half mile. At the end of the trail you will see a large brownstone rock that overlooks the river. Turn 180 degrees and walk towards the rocks across the path. You will find the box in a hole underneath the largest rock covered with leaves. Please cover well.
