The Bookworm has found a relaxing spot to enjoy a good book at the Gabriel and Selma Kleimola Reservation in Gloucester, MA.

Property information (including history, directions, parking information, and even GPS location) can be found here:

From the trailhead at the end of Leverett Street, follow the trail into the property. Almost immediately, the trail will pass between two quarries, then come to a T-intersection. At the T, turn right, following the trail as it curves along the side of the quarry. There a several places in which you can venture off trail to view the quarry better - we highly recommend that you do so!

Soon you will come to a place in the trail where a second, narrower path branches off to the left. While we also recommend exploring this side trail (it dead-ends overlooking yet another, much larger quarry), to find the Bookworm you must stay on the main path just a bit longer.

In the woods on the left of the main trail, just a short distance past where the side trail comes in, there's an outcropping of granite with a large iron staple on top. Just past this, the main trail continues on, built over a jumble of discarded granite pieces. On the left side of the trail, tucked underneath the first block of granite that forms the edge of the trail, you'll find the Bookworm curled up with his book.

Please be sure that the box's lid is latched tightly before re-hiding well. From here, you simply retrace your steps to return to your car. However, if you decide to continue exploring this property, be sure to seek out our other letterbox, A Woman's Place is in the Resistance, which we planted on the same day.
