Continue on until you reach the next split in the trail – there will be a sign for an Agave Lechuguilla- take the fork to the right.
Continue on to the next fork in the path, a yucca plant should be in front of you, take the path to the right.
Go past the bench.
At the sign for the Palma Pita turn right.
Just past the watering hose, turn right and follow the trail into the wash and across. (DO NOT ENTER THE WASH IF WATER IS PRESENT).
You should now join the main trail, go to your left.
Past the large saguaro on your right.
Head to Ayers Lake.
Stay on the main trail passing by the lake.
Continue on past the information gazebo which describes how plants live with little water in the desert.
Stop at the thatched hut on your left – this is called a Quincho in Spanish, the plants in this area are from South America.
Take the trail downhill on the left side of the hut.
Looking on both sides of the trail the box should be hidden along the path near a toothpick cactus, if you reach the bottom of the hill you have gone to far. Please note sometimes due to weather conditions and plant health the boxes may be slightly relocated nearby.
You should find the box near by. If you turn right on the path you have gone too far.
Hope you find it, stamp the note pad with your stamps and troop number. Use the stamp in the box to stamp your notepad, write today’s date and the name of the letterbox. Make sure to hide it well.
